Trip Highlights

Itinerary (1:45 p.m. Self-Arrival)

Arrive at our traditional Mayan palapa in Muyil by 1:45 p.m. Our team will welcome you and assist with the mandatory federal conservation fee payment. This is also the time to select your freshly prepared lunch option from our traditional menu. Itineraries are subject to change.

Take a moment to use the restrooms and refill your reusable water bottle with purified water at our palapa. This is the last stop for facilities before heading into the heart of the reserve. Itineraries are subject to change.

Once ready, we will provide a quick 5-minute van transfer from the palapa to the lagoon's embarkation point. This brief ride takes you through the gateway of the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve. Itineraries are subject to change.

At the muelle (dock), you will meet your skilled local captain who will provide a safety briefing and distribute life vests. Step aboard our intimate, 6-passenger boats to begin navigating the ancient Mayan aquatic trade routes. Itineraries are subject to change.

Cruise through the Muyil and Chunyaxché lagoons before arriving at Xlapak for a 30–45 minute contemplative float. Your aquatic journey ends at "Chan Muelle," where you will step out of the water for a beautiful 900-meter walk through the savanna. Itineraries are subject to change.

Board the boat for the return trip to Muyil. At approximately 3:30 p.m., return to our palapa to enjoy the delicious meal you selected earlier, savoring authentic flavors in a peaceful community setting before departing at your own pace. Itineraries are subject to change.
