The award ceremony was held on October 3, with state and local authorities, municipal presidents across Quintana Roo, and tourism leaders in attendance. Watch the Governor’s announcement here and see more of the event here.
For us, this award is more than recognition — it’s a reaffirmation of our **sacred pact with the earth**. As a Maya-owned cooperative, we’ve spent decades weaving culture, community, and conservation into every experience. We believe that true tourism regenerates lives and landscapes, not just minimizes harm.
Over the years, we have taught over 250 children to observe birds, monitored water quality and biodiversity, and empowered more than 14 neighboring Maya communities to develop their own micro‑destinations. Our philosophy: let the hands that plant corn, care for bees, and protect land also guide travelers to reconnect with nature.
