Booking a Sian Ka’an tour online takes about three minutes — but if you have ever hesitated over a checkout page in another country, this guide is for you. Below is every step of our official booking process, with real screenshots, so you know exactly what to click, what is included, and what you will pay before you enter a single detail. We are Community Tours Sian Ka’an, the Maya cooperative that operates these experiences directly — so when you book here, there is no middleman.
Step 1: Choose Your Experience

Tap any Book Now button on our site and the official booking window opens (it runs on FareHarbor, the same secure system used by thousands of tour operators worldwide). You will see all our experiences with starting prices in Mexican pesos: Ancient Canal, Muyil Sacred Mayan Immersion, Kayak, Bird Watching & Mayan Herbal Medicine, and Sacred Caribbean Paradise. Not sure which one? Our comparison of all Sian Ka’an tours settles it in five minutes.
Step 2: Pick a Date

Press Select date and the availability calendar opens. Green means available. You will also see our Tripadvisor rating right there — 615 reviews and counting from travelers who took the same leap you are about to.
Step 3: Choose Your Departure Time

This is the step where most questions live, so read the labels carefully. On the Ancient Canal tour you will see two departures: 6:00 a.m. Early — includes pickup within Tulum (downtown and hotel zone) — and the 10:00 a.m. Midday Option, which includes round-trip transportation from Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras, Akumal, Tulum and anywhere along the route. Muyil Immersion and Kayak depart at 6:00 a.m.; Bird Watching (6:00 a.m.) and Sacred Caribbean Paradise (2:00 p.m.) are self-arrival at our palapa in Muyil.
Step 4: Select Your Guests

Choose how many adults and children are coming. The sidebar updates live with your subtotal, the booking fee, and the total — no surprises at the end. Children under 12 pay a reduced rate on the Ancient Canal and Muyil tours.
Step 5: The Transportation Checkbox (Read This One)

Scroll to Additional information and you will find the transportation checkboxes with a pickup map. On the Midday Option, checking the box adds round-trip transportation from the whole Riviera Maya corridor at no extra cost — it is already in the price. Be ready about 45 minutes before start time.

On the 6:00 a.m. departures, pickup within Tulum is included — and if you are staying outside Tulum (Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras, Akumal, or along the route), check the second box to add round-trip transportation for $320 MXN per person. Pickups run 30–60 minutes before start time depending on your location.
You will also see the Federal Entry Fee Acknowledgment: the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve entry fee (approx. $225 MXN / US$14 per person) is set by CONANP, is not included in any tour price, and is paid on arrival at the cooperative’s palapa. Every peso of it funds conservation of the reserve.
Step 6: Contact Details & Secure Payment

Enter your name, phone (WhatsApp is best — it is how we confirm your pickup time) and email. Choose to pay in Mexican pesos or US dollars, then pay securely by card or Google Pay. Press Book and pay and you are done — your confirmation arrives by email within minutes.
What Happens After You Book
You will receive an email confirmation immediately. A day before your tour, we confirm your exact pickup time (or the meeting point directions for self-arrival experiences) by WhatsApp. Bring a swimsuit, towel, biodegradable sunscreen, and cash for the entry fee. That is it — the lagoons handle the rest.
Cancellations, In One Breath
Full refund or credit with at least 24 hours’ notice. If we cancel for weather or unforeseen circumstances, you are always refunded in full. No-shows are charged. To change a booking, message us on WhatsApp +52 984 114 0750.
Why Book Directly (Instead of Through a Platform)?
Because the checkout you just saw belongs to the cooperative itself. Booking directly means no reseller margin, the fastest WhatsApp support from the people actually running your tour, and 100% of the community value staying in the community — the heart of what makes our tourism regenerative rather than merely “eco”.

Frequently Asked Questions: Booking a Sian Ka’an Tour
Do I need to pay the full amount when booking?
Yes — payment is processed securely at checkout, in MXN or USD. The only thing paid later is the federal entry fee, in cash at the palapa.
Can I book for today or tomorrow?
Often yes, if the calendar shows green. For same-day requests, message us on WhatsApp first and we will check space with the guides.
Is the booking site secure?
Yes. FareHarbor processes payments with bank-level encryption and never shares your card details with us — we only receive your booking.
I don’t see the transportation checkbox. What do I do?
The checkboxes appear after you select at least one guest, under “Additional information”. If anything looks off, write to us on WhatsApp and we will add transportation to your booking manually.
Can I pay in cash at the palapa instead?
Online booking guarantees your seat — boats fill up, especially December to April. If you prefer to pay on arrival, contact us first on WhatsApp so we can hold your place if space allows.
Ready? Your Boat Is Three Minutes Away
Now that you have seen every screen, there is nothing between you and the biosphere but a few taps. Book your Sian Ka’an experience directly with the Maya cooperative — and arrive already knowing exactly what to expect.
